Second-Largest Diamond Ever Found Discovered in Botswana

A Canadian mining company, Lucara Diamond, has made a groundbreaking discovery in Botswana. They have unearthed a massive 2,492-carat diamond, making it the second-largest ever found on Earth.

The gemstone was discovered at Lucara’s Karowe Diamond Mine using advanced X-ray technology. This remarkable find has further solidified the mine’s reputation for producing exceptional diamonds.

Previously, Lucara had also mined the Sewelo diamond (1,758 carats) and the Lesedi La Rona diamond (1,109 carats) at the same location. This latest discovery showcases the continued potential of the Karowe Mine and the effectiveness of Lucara’s diamond recovery techniques.
